My Goals For 2016

Hey everyone! Long time no chat. I'm back today with a 2016 goals post.

I decided to change my blog name and redesigned it as part of my new year new start thing I'm trying out!! I have to say I'm really happy with it and feel it's very me!

I'm setting myself a few tough goals this year to try and push myself.

1. Lose weight.
This is a big one for me. I've been struggling with my weight the last few months, and I recently rejoined slimming world and I've lost half a stone so far! Now id say I've put it back on over the Christmas, but I've a holiday booked for the end of February and that's my aim. I want to be down a stone by then and I'll be delighted. And then I just have to maintain for the year!

2. Get Fit
This is one I'll struggle with as I work indoors all day that when I come home I'm wrecked from the heat of work and standing all day that I just pan out on the couch for the evening!! So I'm going to try and push myself and become more active and increase my fitness level. It's important for my health and for my mind aswell as its not good to be stuck indoors all the time. Even if it's a half hour walk it's better than nothing!!

3. Complete BBG-at least once!!
I attempted BBG(bikini body guide by Kayla itsines) already! I did the 4 weeks pre-training, and weeks 1-5 of the real deal and I was seeing and feeling the difference, but like I said on the last goal, it's the tiredness off work that was killing me! But I'm determined to complete it! So I'm going to get a routine going of the workouts and walks on inbetween days and trying get my energy and fitness levels up!

4. Move out
This I've wanted for the past 2 years! Both myself and my boyfriend feel we're at that stage in ours life so hopefully this year well be financially able to get a place together.

5. Do A Make-Up Course
Been looking into doing some sort of a part time or evening make-up course for the past few months. I know someone that done the Inglot make-up course and they highly recommended it, so I'm going to look into doing one once I'm back from my holidays:)

Hopefully I'll be able to say at the end of the year that I completed all of these goals!!

Hope you enjoyed this little post. I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and a happy new year!

Till next time xx

New Ps Love Brush Range

Hey everyone, welcome back.

It's been a while, but I had nothing exciting to blog about and I didn't want to force a post.

Today I'm going to let you know about the new Ps Love makeup brushes I got in Penneys the other day.

I was away and typical forgot my brushes, so I went into my nearest Penneys and saw these. They all range from €1.50-€2.50, so I said for that price they will do for the few days!!

Little did I know I'd fall in love! I bought the Kabuki brush, powder/blush brush, contour brush, foundation/concealer brush and the smokey eyeshadow brush. So far I've used them all except the Kabuki, and I must say they are amazing. The hairs on the brushes are really soft and easy to blend products onto the skin.

The contour brush is the perfect shape to really sculpt out your cheekbones, and with the soft hairs it makes the product so easy to apply.

The smoky eyeshadow brush is by far my favourite. It is the perfect shape to work the shadows into the crease and it also has a small angled brush to smudge the shadow under the lash line.

Overall I'd highly recommend these brushes. And for this price, you can't go wrong! I will admit I went back for a second eyeshadow brush!!

Anyway I hope you enjoyed this post, I'll be back soon.

Till then xox

Johnstown House Hotel & Spa

Hi everyone! I'm back with a little review on Johnstown House Hotel & Spa in Enfield Co.Meath. I went here last week with my mam and sisters for a spa day and night away for my mams birthday!

I must say its a fabulous hotel. Very luxurious! Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We arrived early so we had some tea and scones in the lobby before check in, which was lovely. Proper homemade scones is just what I love!! We then headed to the Spa and checked in. The Spa is absolutely amazing!! So relaxing fr the minute you walk in. We all got changed and headed into a room that had the sauna, steam room and it had this room we loved(can't remember the name!!!), but it was a lovely warm room. Just cosy not sweaty. We used this as our meet up room as it was so relaxing.

We all headed for our treatments, I had a full body deep tissue massage. I had never had one before, so I was really looking forward to it. I must say I think I'd run for another! I suffer terrible with my back from work and I'm always in need of a good rub out! If you haven't tried this Id highly recommend.

After our treatments we met in a relaxation room and went and got changed and checked into the hotel. We headed to the rooms to freshen up and then straight for dinner.

The restaurant was fab! Food was really good and worth every penny!!

The rooms were a little old fashioned, but for what we wanted, they done the job!!

On the Monday we headed for a quick breakfast and me and mam had more treatments! My sister opted for relaxation rooms instead for some extra zzzz!!!! I got a facial that was on offer for €50, and it was incredible. They use Elemis products, which are lovely anyway. I felt so relaxed and refreshed! I had a really nice lady looking after me and I must say she was excellent.

Again before we left I spent more time in the various relaxation areas, to get the most out of our visit!!

I will run back to the Spa here, all the girls were so helpful and excellent. All hotel staff were also brilliant and the hotel was
lovely. I highly recommend you try it!

Here's a few snaps of the hotel and Spa.

I really hope you enjoyed this post.

Till next time:) xox

Top 3 Eyeshadow Palettes

Hey guys welcome back!

Hope you all are keeping well and enjoying my posts! I'm really enjoying writing them and thinking of new ideas😊

Today I'm doing My Top 3 Eyeshadow Palettes! For me this was an easy one as I grab for the same ones all the time!

Up first is:
The Balm Nude'Tude
This is a great palette for a neutral/smokey look. There are a good variety of colour. The pigment payoff is amazing. I'd be lost without this!

Up next:
MUA Heaven & Earth Palette
This little palette is my best friend! If I'm going anywhere this is the one I will bring as it fits into my make-up bag perfectly. This has the most gorgeous neutral shades, some matte and some shimmer. I really would recommend this as its only €5/€6, you really can't go wrong!!

And the last palette is:
Urban Decay Naked 3
I love the pink/gold shades in this palette. This is so perfect for a soft pink look, but with a few deeper shades to smoke it out. The quality is excellent and so worth every penny!

I hope you liked this little post! I'll be back soon with another post!

Villa Spa Killashee Review

Hey everyone welcome back!

Back today with a review of the Villa Spa at Killashee House Hotel in Naas, Co. Kildare. I've been to this spa before but never done a review and today I felt I should!

Killashee is a beautiful hotel on the outskirts of Naas, and if you haven't been, you need to go. Its fab and really elegant. I have been to afternoon tea there, and its so worth it!!

Anyway back to the point!! The Villa Spa is absolutely amazing. With an almost Moroccan theme throughout I found it relaxing from the minute I stepped in the door. I love going to a spa and getting all cosy in slippers and a nightgown and just relax!

Today I was there for a "Winter Warmer" package. This includes:
  • Dry body brush
  • Hot oil back massage
  • Taster facial
  • Pressure point scalp massage
  • Exotic hand ritual
  • Soothing lower leg & foot massage
  • Dry floatation therapy
All for just €99!!!(lets take a minute to take that in!!)

When I went in at first I got to get into my robe and slippers and sit in the relaxation room for roughly half an hour as I arrived early!!(picture of relaxation room below). From there I got dry floatation. this was heaven! Its like a warm water bed that you just float away on for half an hour, and lets be honest....Sleep!! This relaxing treatment is meant to equal 3 hours of deep sleep for the body!

After that I was brought into a gorgeous room with roses pictures on the wall and roof(picture below)! Seriously amazing room. In here I got all my other treatments. Firstly I got the dry body brush on my back, the back of my legs and arms. This isn't the most comfortable experience but I love the feeling of my skin afterwards. I then got my back massage, which I must say was probably my favourite. I suffer from my back and I just love when someone gives it a good going over. And the lovely girl that was looking after me(Sinead), she did just that.  She did say my back wasn't in the best condition, but I know myself that I should be getting a rub on it more often!

I then got my foot and leg massage, and my hand ritual. this was really soothing. I was basically asleep by then!!

The facial was next. They use all Elemis products, which felt lovely on my skin. the facial was really relaxing. Here's a list of the products used:
  • Balancing lime blossom cleanser

  • Balancing lavender toner

  • Papaya enzyme peel

  • Herbal lavender repair mask

  1. Hydra-balance day cream

She recommended I buy the cleanser and toner, I already have the mask. I didn't purchase them today but my birthday is coming up so I think ill treat myself then!! While the mask was on I got my scalp massage which was so nice. I felt like I had no worry in the world after it ha!

I have to say I struggled to get off the bed after this! I could have lay there all day! Thankfully I got to go back to the relaxation room with a little glass of fruit to relax some more!

I 100% recommend Villa Spa! You need to try it. And a spa day is always needed in the busy lives we live. you need down time and you time and this is where to get it. The staff are so nice and helpful, I have to compliment them, they made my trip to the spa so relaxing.

I hope you enjoyed this little post.

Till next time xox

Ps I couldnt bring my phone to take actual pictures so these are off there website! Check it out http://www.killasheehouse.com/

Makeup Geek Insomnia Eye Look😍

Hey everyone welcome back to my blog!

Been seriously enjoying blogging the past month. I hope you've been enjoying my last few posts!

I'm back today with a makeup look. A few months ago I posted about Makeup Geek products I had bought, so today I said I'd do a look using the really popular Insomnia pigment.

Insomnia is probably the most gorgeous pigment ever. It reflects a green, brown,  and almost a red colour in different light. It's also a dupe for Mac Blue Brown pigment and for well under the price at only $6.99.

Here are a couple of pictures of the pigment:

As you can see here you can get 2 different effects by just applying straight, or applying wet, depending on what your looking for.

Lately I've been using this pigment as is. I apply using a small flat shader brush packing it onto the lid.

Then I get a clean blending brush a blend like a divil in the crease to blend the line. The great thing about this shadow is when you blend it it goes to a reddy brown colour, and I leave the lid the green shimmery colour.

This look is gorgeous as is, you could wet your brush and go back in with the pigment to add a little vibrancy!

I would sometimes leave as is or put eyeliner on. And then of course mascara!!!!

Hope you like this little post! If you'd like more of these sort of post let me know:)

Till next time:)xox

Five Products I Cannot Live Without

Hey everyone! Welcome back😊

Hope your keeping well! I'm getting into more of a routine with my post.... Thankfully🙏🏼 ha!

I'm back today with "Five products I cannot live without". These are products I  use everyday.

1. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation
This has become my absolute favourite foundation ever!! This gives me 100% coverage, and as I suffer from bad skin I need all the coverage I can get!! Also it doesn't leave my skin shiny it keeps me matte all day. I use the shade "Creme Ivory".
€48 in Brown Thomas.

2. Catrice Camoflauge Concealer
This is one of the best concealers for covering spots and scaring. I use this everyday and it doesn't budge. I got it in Penneys for roughly €4 I think. It's so inexpensive and so worth it!

3. Burts Bees
This is a fab lip balm I bought recently. It's really moisturising and tastes yummy!!  I got mine for €4 in Sam McCauleys.

4. Mac Woodwinked Eyeshadow
This is just the nicest eyeshadow ever. For a day were I just want to add a little colour to my eyes I use this and blend it into my crease. This shadow is a slightly golden, bronze, copper colour and when it's blended into my crease it changes colour. It's a really unusual shadow and definitely one to have.
€16.50 Brown Thomas

5. Maybelline Colossol Volume Mascara
This is the only mascara I constantly repurchase. It's the only one that give me volume and extra length as well as not giving me a black eye effect at the end of the day!!! With most other mascaras they always seem to spread down below my eyes and I look like I got punched in the eye ha!!!
€10 Sam McCauleys/Boots

Hope you enjoyed this post.

Till next time xox

Dublin Haul💖

Hey everyone, welcome back!!

Hope your all keeping well! Doing a haul post today😊
I was in Dublin for a night for the long weekend and while I was there I couldn't resist a little trip to Brown Thomas💘
This was my first time in the Dublin Brown Thomas since I was really young so I didn't know what to expect, but when I walked through the door and saw the Mac section my heart exploded😂

I'd say my jaw nearly hit the floor and my eyes were huge with absolute delight!!

I'm a huge fan of Mac eyeshadows but I never go to Dublin so I only get them on rare occasions. But after this trip I think I'll be going more regularly!!

I bought 3 new eyeshadow pans in the shades "Charcoal Brown", "Bronze" and "Honey Lust". The last shadows I bought were all orange tones, so this time I wanted neutrals and I'm seriously in love. These shadows are so pigmented and gorgeous(expect a post on a look soon)!!

On my way home I went into Superdrug and picked up this blush by Collection in the shade "3 Cheeky".
I'm not a huge blush person but I needed a new one and I wanted to get a peachy colour rather than my typical pink shades!!

I also picked up a Make Up Revolution product. This is the Awesome Metal Foil Finish In the shade "Pure Platinum". This is like a creamy eyeshadow that when mixed with the primer turns almost into a pigment. I'll definitely be doing a look with this soon.

I alsopl picked up the Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner, just because you never have enough eyeliners!!!!

I hope you liked this little haul. I'll be back with looks and reviews using some of these products so keep an eye!!

Till next time 😊xox

First Impression: Cocoa Brown 1 hour tan

Hey everyone, welcome back!

Going to do a slightly different post today. This is my first impression of the Cocoa Brown 1 hour tan.

I will admit I'm not a big fake tan person but when the weather is good and I get the chance to wear shorts and dresses etc I like to have a little colour as I am pure white!😂

I had heard so much about this tan so thought I'd give it a go!

First thing I noticed was the packaging is really eye catching (well for me anyway, as I love pink!!)

Then the smell caught me, it's slightly fruity!! It was the normal overpowering tan scent which was nice!

The mousse was slightly tinted so as you apply you can see where you're placing it. I used the mit that goes with it, it's really soft and the product doesn't soak throught! Which has happened me with other mits and its so annoying!!

Once I had applied it I let it sit for a few minutes to let it dry in, and then I waited!

They say for the desired shade leave on for:

1 hour= Light Glow

2 hour= Medium Glow

3 hour= Dark Glow

I'm so pale I felt after an hour I'd still have no colour so I left it for 2! I got a nice glow. I'd say I could get away with leaving it on for 3 hours to get a medium colour on my legs! I don't tan very easy!

Overall I like the product, I'll continue to use it when I need a little colour!!

Hope you enjoyed this little post!

Back soon xox

What I'm using on my hair after "Shave or Dye"

Hey everyone😊 Hope your all enjoying the lovely weather, unfortunately I havnt seen much of it👎🏼 but I got out in the evenings for a walk/run!!

I'm back today with a post following my Shave or Dye post on the haircare products I'm now using to get my hair back healthy and strong.

So as I said in my previous post, my hair is quiet dry from all the bleaching, so now I'm treating it to death with all Alfaparf products.

In the salon I'm in we stock all Alfaparf, and honestly there products are top quality. At the moment I'm using these products.

Alfaparf Reconstruction Shampoo, mask, anti-breakage daily fluid and then Cristalli Liquid serum. The shampoo, mask and fluid are all design to reconstruct damage/broken hair. There are 2 vital ingredients in these, Bamboo marrow -  gives strength and elasticity to the hair, and Cortex repair - repairs the hair deep in the shalt. These also have colour protecting properties and give fab shine to the hair!  Also the smell is like Bamboo and it's amazing 💖 The Cristalli Liquids I use when my hair is dry to finish it of. This gives the hair a gorgeous gloss and shine and also strengthens the hair, as there are Linseed oils and vitamin e's!

Then to keep my colour vibrant I'm using Alfaparf Jeans Colour in Magenta. This is like a colour bomb. I put it on every couple of days for 10/20 minutes and rinse. It's like a conditioner, so there's no need to condition after using it.

I've only been using these products for a week and already I notice a huge difference in my hair. Once I get it in good condition I'll start using moisture products on it, as you wouldn't recommend continuous use of reconstruction-just till needed!

Hope you like this little post.

I'll be back soon xox
